While these are the methods that are most well known within the homeschooling community,
there needs to be a disclaimer that there is
NO ONE RIGHT WAY
to home educate your child/ren.
Each family is going to be, and look, completely different from all other families.
There needs to be support for one another in the homeschooling community and not judgment on the methodology of teaching that has been chosen by individual families.
What works for one family won't work for another in its entirety.
The whole concept and freedom in home educating our children is that we're able to
teach to the 'child'
instead of to the 'multitudes'!
Eclectic homeschooling, taking the best of different methods and combining them all, becomes more the norm for long time homeschooling families.
This is usually what the families tend to 'become', i.e. 'eclectic homeschoolers'.
Homeschooling becomes just another part of who 'they are' and not just 'what they are doing'.
