Hi Florida Friends of Home Schoolers,

I wanted to let you know about a set of free resources available for home school parents and students just in time for Florida's Celebrate Freedom Week later this month.

The Florida Legislature initiated 'Celebrate Freedom Week' in K-12 public schools in 2002 in response to concerns that Florida students aren't learning the basics about America's founding freedoms and The Declaration of Independence.  Unfortunately, I've found that many Floridians don't know about this important program so we've created a private program called, 'Declare IT!' to offer free resources to teachers and parents to help and make learning more fun. Through our website, 'www.declareitprogram.com,' we offer the following resources free of charge to teachers and parents:

Information about 'Celebrate Freedom Week' in Florida
A free download of a sing-along song that teaches the words of the Declaration of Independence
A student-produced video documentary on the history of Celebrate Freedom Week in Florida
Links to lesson plans  for Celebrate Freedom Week in Florida, Arkansas and Texas
More resources will be added in the future!

Please visit our site, 'www.declareitprogram.com' and take a look. Let me know if you have any suggestions, additional links, etc.  And - of course, I'd appreciate your help in letting Florida homeschool parents know about our website.

Regards,

Jack Boyd
